Thoughts

My mind is filled to the brim with thoughts.  Some thoughts come in to my mind when I don't have anything else to think about, like how everyone is related because of Adam and Eve, the first people.  Or how we don't fall off the Earth when we're sideways or upside-down.  Or how we breathe air.  You know, things that if you thought about them too long you would tell yourself to give up, you just can't find an answer.

The other thoughts are about how cliche the world is right now.  There's always the "in" style, the "in" stores, and even in the blogging world, there is a lot of things everyone wants and has going around.  For an example, it's only right to have a professionally made background, your header on the SIDE of your blog, and you can't capitalize things in the right places.  For a while the in thing was a totally blank, white, background and century gothic text.

The crazy thing?  Most of that I have NEVER had.  I've had a professionally made background from Britts.

But this isn't the first time I've ever posted about how cliche-y the world is lately, and the blogging world.  At that time it was all about century gothic.  That made your blog popular.  But then one popular blogger changed their choices in text, and then the next popular blogger did, and the next, and the next.

Know what also bugs me?  So many people are copies.  They aren't very great at blogging, they're young, they don't have much experience, but they act as if they're sixteen and their blogs look too professional.  Their writing isn't always as fluent or well-written as the older girls.

Also, most of the popular bloggers only pay attention to the other popular bloggers.  That really bugs me!  What, the bloggers with only twenty followers aren't good enough and can't relate to you?  No offense to anyone, but it kind of hurts.  They always say their "best blogging friends", and I check out their blogs.  They almost ALWAYS have one hundred followers or more.

Well, enough of my ranting, here's a photo:

Mine!  No taking without permission.

Sorry for the rant, I'm planning some posts about celebrating Thanksgiving and my family members' birthdays, NaNoWriMo, photography, and more. :)

SMILEEEE,
CaRo

  1. you know what, carolyn? i've had the exact same feeling. especially with the "popular bloggers/best bloggy friends" thing. alot of people say that they won't conform to that type of person: the one who finds themselves only looking at specific blogs that they like and making friends only with the girls who are exactly the kind of friend they want. i think "can't you have a little variety? admire the great people, sure, we all do. but if you make a move to be someone else's friend, you may realize that there's been more going on than you thought." i'm not trying to spotlight anyone in particular, and we all have out flaws. i myself am guilty of the same thing. i have friended some of the popular bloggers and then realized that i was leaving alot of people out. and i've been left out alot in my life, and i didn't want that to happen to anyone else.

so, having said all that, hello carolyn, i'm your new friend, and i positively adore your blog background. :))

  3. Jocee- Oh my goodness . . . You-YOU'RE FROM CUPCAKE DICTIONARY. ^_^ Oh my gosh. You don't know how much I love your blog! I had followed before on my old account, Carolyn Lilac, and commented once or twice, and have been trying to regain all the amazing blogs that I read and followed! :)

It really means a lot that you took the time to comment on my blog, I'm just trying to get it back to the way it was before. I had fifty followers, a lovely background from Britts, and over 6,000 pageviews. I miss that, but a fresh start can't hurt!

Thank you, Jocee, I'm glad to call you a friend. :)

Zaidia- I'm not saying that everyone is a copy, but more that they are wanting what everyone else has. It's not always a bad thing, people like you can make it work, and make it work well. :)
