Dance

  As I wrote my post about what I want to be when I grow up, I was thinking that I'm not so sure about a dance teacher anymore because my mom wasn't sure if I was going to be one for a moment, but then I thought to myself as I stand up from my spot on the computer, tights, leotard, and spandex shorts still on from my dance class that ended over an hour ago.  I danced to the other room, and then danced back.

  I thought to myself, "Why was I doubting that I wanted to do something with dance when I grew up?  I know this is what I'm going to do one day.  I get so much joy when I dance."

  My dance teacher looks at me as I get ready for my first day at one of her other studios {She has two, one in my town, another in a different town.  I go there for pointe.} and she says, looking back and forth between my mom, "She's going to do something some day, isn't she?"

  My mom smiled.  "For sure."

  "I'm sure I want to do something with dance when I'm an adult," I told her.

  Ever since I was young I've looked at people in pointe shoes and thought, "That is so gorgeous."  I've always wanted to dance.

  Dancing since you were three means dedication, aches, being sore, blisters, itchy tights, and ounces of hairspray and makeup.  It's hard sometimes.  Sometimes it takes me a long time to understand something, but the thing is

it's worth it.

{{I apologize for two posts in a day!}}
