Hello Again!

  Well, this is seriously embarrassing.  I haven't posted in over a month.  And I feel so incredibly terrible.

  But I always say that I don't want to focus on the fact that I went missing.  I want to focus on the fact that I'm back!

  So, I still haven't figured out a good way to get my pictures from Bobert {that's the Canon Rebel T3's name, if you were wondering} on to my blog, but I have found a good way to post some pictures from my phone into my post and then write the post on my laptop, which is very much appreciated!  So, I will have pictures to show you guys, finally!

  If you're a competitive dancer, you would know that it's competition season!  If you guys have read my dance story, then you know that I compete with one dance, just starting this year.  That one dance is production.  Lots of studios have a production number, and it's basically a huge dance with girls of all ages in it.  It has a theme, and is usually made up of a bunch of different songs.  The production dances I've seen have been anywhere from five to fifteen minutes, and the length requirements are different at each competition.

  Anywhoozles, this year, our theme is Alice in Wonderland, and I'm a Mad Hatter!  We did very well for our first competition of the season, and ended up with High Gold, which is the second-highest "ranking".  We still have one more competition for this specific number, and that's in April, I do believe.

  In other news, our last day of school is officially June sixth, which completely stinks.  Most people will be on summer break by then, but no, we'll be stuck in hot, sticky, classrooms.  Yipee.

  I know I'm kind of jumping around from topic to topic, but I just wanted to say that my blog really needs a facelift.  For serious, guys, my blog is so boring to me.  I can do things like headers, but I want to do so much more with my blog and I just don't know how.  If you have any ideas that could possibly help me, they'd be appreciated.  ;)

  So, I am going to revamp the blog as much as I can and hopefully make it more exciting!  I promise you I have all kinds of things to post about, so those will be coming!

New DESIGN! :D

  Hey y'all!  :D  As you can probably tell, I just redesigned my blog!  As much as I loved the old design, I felt like it was very summery, and with the seasons a-changing {XD}, I decided to change the look up, too.  :]  So, I just used this lovely salmon-y color that I absolutely adore and used it in a couple places as accents, and other wise just used gray.  XD  But yes, that's all I have to say at the moment!  Please comment telling me what you think of the design!  ;]

Back-to-School Series: Episode 4

  IT'S FINALLY UP!  :D  I'm so sorry that this has taken SO long to get up!  I only have so much space per week on Vimeo, so I'll have 2-3 videos for the series up per week.  So, this video took up A LOT of space, that being said, I'll try to get two shorter episodes up.  If I can only get one more, please do not be upset!  But anyways, ENJOY ZE VIDEO!  :D



  SO!  Besides this video, I have eight days until my blog turns one, and nine days until school starts!  :O  I am SO excited for school!  I have my schedule for the most part, but it's kind of subject to change right now.  I have my orientation on sixteenth, so not tomorrow, but the next day!  :D  I can't wait to get  my locker all "dolled up"!  :]

  In other news, I got CONTACTS yesterday!  I've had glasses for FOUR years, so it's quite a change! But it's been going well so far.  I got to wear them for four hours yesterday and six hours today, and the rest of the week will be six hours, as well.  So yes!  :D

  Well, that's all I have to say!  I need to get in the shower, it's late, and my mom wants to use her laptop.  XD  So I shall be off!

New, New, NEW!

  If my blog doesn't look different and-well-new to you, then I don't know what would!   XD  The biggest change?  The name.  It is no longer, "The Demi-God Dancer".  Why?  Well, first of all, I always forgot if it was, "The Dancing Demi-God" or, "The Demi-God Dancer".  XD  That was a problem.  Second, I don't like it too much anymore.  Plus, a lot of people never knew what a demi-god was, even though I made a post explaining that.  XD

  I totally changed the look, also, if you didn't already notice!  XD  I got a new background and header, plus new little button-y things on the sidebar.  I need a new button now.  Darn.  XD

  I learned how do to SO many things, and I love my blog. :)  I am so happy I found and alternative to the Minima template.  It's quite boring.  :P  SO, yeah!  EXCITEMENT.

  Now, let me continue my Parry Gripp song overload.  Thank you.

Delightfully Delilah and Other Pages

  I just basically converted every post {except for the boring ones I posted!  XD} from Eternally 18 Inches on to a page above {above the Followers}, Delightfully Delilah! :D  Delightfully Delilah is Deliah's "blog".  :)  She will post on there whenever she feels like, and I will update you whenever there is a new post on there, so right now there is a new post, so go ahead and read it if you'd like!  :D

  Anyways, there is another new page up there, too, which is about my dolls! :D  Woohoo!  XD

  Yes, this is a rather large post.  XD  Well, since it's so large, how about I get started with ze updates!  :D

1.) Changing this Blog a Bit

No, I'm not talking about having a new background or header or even a new look entirely, I'm talking about something bigger.  What is that something, you ask?  Well, Eternally 18 Inches is no longer going to be . . . 

NOW!  Before you get all upset or before you ask if I'm growing out/have grown out of dolls, READ ON.  Por favor.

Eternally Eighteen Inches isn't going to be its own blog anymore, I'm simply going to post EVERYTHING on this blog.  I'll copy and paste all of my dolls' posts to a page that will be up top, and if my dolls ever feel like posting again, they can post up there!  ;D  This way I won't have one blog that is posted on frequently and another that is barely posted on at all!  If you don't want to read my American Girl blog posts, you don't have to.  But I'd like you to.  ;)

2.) Honor Band

Yesterday was honor band, and it went really, REALLY, well!  :D  I had a lot of fun, met a girl I could consider a friend that was JUST like me {both play French horn, both play piano, both dance!}!  We got along really well.  I got SECOND CHAIR in chair placement, which-if you were wondering-is GOOD!  Especially because there were nine French horns.  I was surprised because I messed up on one of my scales A LOT.  But I was nervous. :P  But I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the experience immensely!

3.) Picnik is CLOSING 

Yes, the famous free photo editing website is closing . . . :(  BUT!  Until it closes on April 19th, all of the Premium {which is the not-free part.  XD} features are open to the public!  YAY!  :D  I've been editing quite a few pictures.  You'll see them throughout the post. :)

  Yep, I'm having my first FAQ {frequently asked questions} on this blog!  :D  I will answer all of the questions in a post and put them on their own special little page up there.  :)  So, PLEASE ask a question or two . . . or as many as you'd like.  ;)  I will answer all questions unless they are personal or inappropriate.  As far as "personal" questions go, no, "What state do you live in?", "Where do you live?", "How old are you?", "What grade are you in?", etc.  Alrighty?  Thanks.  :)

New Header=♥ {{And Pinterest Pictures, Just 'Cause}}

  I absotolutely {yes, I say absotolutely on a regular basis.  Got a problem with that?!  XD} love my new header.  The inspiration for making it is Hannah because I just adore her headers and designs, always.  :)  It has some of my favorite colors, and some of the colors in the background!  :D

  So, the little description under the blog name is "Loving Life, Every Step of the Way" because . . . well . . . it's simply true!  XD  I actually thought it up while in language class the other day, doodling on the margins of my paper!  I thought up two little bloggity blog descriptions, which I both liked.  The other was, "Simply not a Simple Life" because, well, my life isn't all that simple.  XD  I mean, most people that blog love "simple life", and trust me, I do, too, but it's just not much of my life, I suppose.  We're rushing all the time, to and from dance, piano lessons, church, etc.  When we're not doing that, we're practicing for the aforementioned things.  ;)

  So, there's not too much to tell here, I guess.  Sorry about not posting any pictures lately, but what's Pinterest for, right?!  SO, here are some pictures that I'm loving from Pinterest.

2011 has Gone

  I can't believe 2011 is already gone . . . it's been a great, beautiful year.  :)  There have been tough, difficult, times, but I do have to say that 2011 is one of the best years of my life.  2010 was full of bullying and drama, and 2011 was full of friendship and truly finding who I want to be friends with, where I fit in, and who I am.

  Photography became a passion this year.  I found out ways to change the alright photos of a simple pointe-and-shoot camera to something people comment on, something people enjoy, and something I find extremely awesome and are proud of.

  I took on the challenge of NaNoWriMo, set my goal as 9,000 words and finished with over 11,000.  It was an amazing experience, I met a lot of fun people and had fun writing my heart out!

  I enjoyed traveling with my family, especially to Okoboji.

  2011 was an amazing year that I loved immensely.  :)  Thank you to all of my friends, fans, and followers.  I love you all so much and this post wouldn't have been possible without you!  ♥

I was Boo{ed}! {Plus OTHER rAnDoM stuff and a Birthday!}

  Yes, that's right, I was INDEED Boo{ed} by none other than Renata!  {Check out her blog!}  It's really pretty fun, if you get boo{ed} {through a comment}, you get the button above {which you can get on Chunkey Monkey} and put it on your sidebar, then Boo someone else!  Then you're done until someone else boos you.  ;)  Simple, right?

  Anyways, besides being booed, nothing much is new.  I Delilah actually just made a REALLY long post on their blog if you want to check it out.  ;)  We also posted a poll, so PLEASE vote on that after reading the pros and cons of each doll in the post.  :)

  OH!  Here's something else exciting!  Renata {man, she's popular in my post today!  XD} and I re-created our dance blog!  Get the Pointe is now up again, so PLEASE CHECK IT OUT!  We're getting our design from Britts soon, so no worries on the ugly-ness.  ;)

  Well, today is going to be a pretty normal day.  :)  I got to sleep in for the first time in what seems like ages.  Every Saturday I assistant-teach at my {dance} studio at 8:30 in the morning, so I obviously have to get up pretty early to get in my leotard and tights, do my hair, eat, and get my dance bag ready.  Usually we go to church on Sundays, but we didn't today.  :P  It's not a great thing, but it was nice to sleep in until 10:10 instead of 7:30 for church!  {{Yeah, we only have an 8:30 mass . . . we're a small church.  XD}}

  But anywho, I'm going to Nutcracker practice today, and I have a costume fitting!  :D  Woot woot!  {{It's a Quinny thing.}}  We're going earlier, though, to shop a bit.  We live in a small town where the only places to shop for clothing are Walmart and the dollar store.  XD  Yeah, we have to travel quite a bit for clothing.  Well, Walmart *sometimes*.  I'M NOT ASHAMED TO ADMIT THAT I THINK THEY HAVE SOME CUTE GRAPHIC TEES!  XD

  Today is someone really special's birthday.  Who is that, you ask?  Why, Brittany-Amelia, or as I call her, Britts!  So, here's my {second!} birthday message to her:

Dear Britts,

  Happy birthday!  Today is a special day for you and for all of your friends and family. You've gone through another year of being Britts.  ;)  You are such an amazing friend and truly ARE one of my best friends in the entire world, even if I've never met you and you live far off somewhere else in this big world {like, maybe AUSTRALIA?!  XD}.  :)  I've known you for over a year now and we've always had so much in common that we're obviously twins separated at birth that don't have the same age.  It's just OBVIOUS, isn't it?  It's crazy to think you're fifteen, I hope it's a year full of love and laughter {and Dr. Who and Horrible Histories because I know you love that stuff so much even though I have no idea what either are really about!}.

  Well, Britts my dear, I love you SO much and I hope that you have an AMAZING day, and year being 15.  ;)
