Valentine's Dance 2013

  So, it's two days after Valentine's Day {already?!}, and I thought it was only right to write about the dance.  :)  I wish I could post pictures, but since I can't show my face {or the faces of my friends}, that's not going to work.  But oh well, right?!

  The dance was absolutely AWESOME!  I had an amazing time with my friends, and it was just so much fun.  The DJ was great and made everything really fun.  The lights were great, the music was just loud enough, and he'd always announce a slow dance {so then it wouldn't be so awkward} and made fun little comments about songs.  It was great fun!

  There was a worst part of the dance, sadly, but it's kind of a funny story, so I'll share it!  So, the DJ had this smoke machine.  It was just in front of where he was set up and barely any smoke was coming out.  Well, the fire alarms went off, and we all had to evacuate the building!  Keep in mind that it was below freezing, some people were wearing dresses, lots of people didn't have shoes on, and there was snow that had just fallen earlier that day.  Yikes.  But it was all fine, and we got to go back in quickly.  That's a memory right there!

  Alright, so let's talk about what fun stuff happened at the dance!  So, my friends and I danced nearly the whole time, which was really fun.  My frannnns Makenna {I've talked about her lots!}, Sam, and I had a dance battle with some guys, and we totally won.  We even had a Macarena show down, and again, I think that us girls won!

  Now, you might be wondering about the fact that I said I had a date to the dance.  Indeed, I did, and I don't think I'm going to use his name on here.  I said Germs in my Dear Boys post, but that's an inside joke I won't explain.  I promise you, he's not germy.  It's just his name.  But basically, I'll just call him J.  J asked me to the dance with the help of his friend C.  It wasn't a big extravaganza, just him asking me to the dance, and me saying yes in a kind of confused manner.  Haha. :)

  So at the dance, C was trying to get J to dance with me, but J just walked away because he's so shy.  Then he just kind of stood nearish to me and walked around aimlessly until he got the nerve to ask me to dance.  And he did, and we danced for three of the slow dances.  He was very quiet when we danced, but-as I have said before-he's so shy.  But still, I just thought it was cute that he asked me at all.  He's a lot shorter than me, so it was kind of funny.  My dad {who is my principal, if y'all didn't know} came over to us and took a picture.  Oh, the joy of having your dad as the principal. *sigh*

  But all in all, the dance was extremely fun.  It was a night I'll always remember for sure!

  Hope y'all enjoyed this post!  I've been in a blogging mood lately, if you can't tell.  I have lots of stuff coming up, so I'll be posting about that when the time comes!

xoxo,
Carolyn <3

A Post Full of Winky Faces and a TAG!

  Hey y'all!  Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been super busy lately and am still unable to get pictures on my blog, but I promise I'll figure something out, or at least try as hard as I possibly can!  But let's not focus on that, mm'kay?

Though this was fitting, since tomorrow is
Valentine's Day! :)

  So, with Valentine's Day {or Single's Appreciation Day!} coming up tomorrow, I thought it'd be fun to do a Valentine's Day TAG!  I haven't done a tag on my blog in an eternity or seven, and there are some floating around YouTube, so I thought, why not?  Sure, this is made for YouTube, but I'd answer the questions the same either way.

1.) What are your thoughts on Valentine's Day?

  I-personally-like Valentine's Day.  It's not my favorite holiday at all, and I wouldn't say I love it, but it's fun nonetheless!  I do like tend to go all out for this holiday, giving people heart-shaped things and chocolates and red roses.  So, I can say that I do like Valentine's Day.  :)

2.) Have you ever had a Valentine before?

  Yes, yes I have! I had a Valentine last year, actually.  And when I was little, I'd always give Valentine's to the person I "liked" that said, "I love you" and stuff like that!  Was I the only one?!

3.) What is the cutest thing you've ever experienced/seen a friend experience on Valentine's Day?

  You know, I've been thinking about this question, and I can't really think of something too extremely adorable, but one experience for me was when Carter {look at link above} gave me the bracelet.  It's very pretty and was so special to me.   :)

4.) What is your favorite Valentine's Day candy?

  Although this isn't a candy, and I haven't ever really eaten it on Valentine's Day, I'd have to go with chocolate covered strawberries!  They are a m a z i n g!  XD  But chocolate in general is pretty great, and conversation hearts are good, but only some of the colors!

5.) Do you have a Valentine this year?

  Nope, I don't.  But someone asked me to the Valentine's Dance, which is tomorrow, just today!  We're just friends, so he's not my Valentine.  XD

6.) If you were to get a gift on Valentine's Day, what would it be? {Ideal gift}

  I don't really know, to be honest.  Something super cute {when I was older} would be a little picnic inside {there's still snow here!}, or maybe a song or poem or something heartfelt like that.  :)

7.) If you were to have a celebrity Valentine, who would it be?

  Hands down, Louis Tomlinson.  I can not explain my love for Louis.  He is amazing and I'd love to have him as a Valentine!  I'm sure he'd have lots of fun ideas of what to do on Valentine's Day!

  Well, that was all for the tag!  I hope y'all enjoyed!  :)

xoxo,
Carolyn

Merry Christmas Eve Eve! {{2012}}

  Merry Christmas Eve Eve, everyone!  {{Or the day before Christmas Eve, if all of my eves are confusing you.}}  I can NOT believe that TOMORROW is Christmas Eve, and the next day is CHRISTMAS!  It's crazy to think that I wrote a post on this day exactly one year ago, and also exactly TWO years ago {although that post was lost with my old blog}.  It's becoming a tradition, and I think I quite like it.

  Christmas Eve Eve has been a good day, a day of both relaxation and preparation.  We're getting our meals all sorted out for Christmas Eve and Christmas day, baking cookies for family gatherings, and just generally being excited for Christmas, of course!

  Good smells are wafting through the house, tickling my nose.  Snow is lying on the ground, obviously staying put for quite some time.  These little scenes just make Christmas seem like it's really here, just waiting for the official day where it can come out and make its grand entrance.  There's no hiding that everyone in this household is most definitely excited for that day.

  These kinds of days make good days for reading, especially reading Christmas-y books.  I mean, who wouldn't want to curl up by the Christmas tree, a warm blanket covering your toes, hot cocoa sitting next to you, and read Little Women?  Sounds good to me!

  So I know I have written this post all . . . seriously, I guess, but I did just have to say that I AM SO EXTREMELY SUPERLY DUPERLY EXCITED RIGHT NOW.

. . .

not.even.kidding.

  I'm going to be doing some vlogging on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, too, so I hope you guys head over to my YouTube channel on those days and check out the videos!

  Hope all of you guys have had an AWESOME holiday season and winter break so far, and that it just keeps on getting better!

Carolyn

milestones

  Right now, I am just really, truly, happy.  And so thankful for every single one of you.  And why is that?  I have sixty AMAZING followers, over ten THOUSAND page views, and this is my 141st post.  Guys, I am just so thankful for you all, and I already have so many of these kinds of posts, but I was just thinking . . .

  Would it be possible to get me to 75 followers by my birthday, November 17?  And 100 followers by the end of the year or earlier?  That would honestly mean the world to me.  :]  If you could advertise for me, I'd love that very much so, and I would be more than happy to make something {header, favicon, anything!} in return, if you'd like!  :D

  So, thanks to all of you.  I'm almost to my goal of 100.  It doesn't seem out of reach.  :]

Carolyn

Simplicity

This summer, I spent some time with family that I don't see as often as I see my close family.  My dad's aunts and uncles and cousins, family from Texas, and people that I don't even quite comprehend my relation to them.  But honestly, it was a lovely time.

We spent quite a lot of the time on the farm.  It's not the one my dad grew up in, but it's still a fun place to be, full of places to explore with my little cousins as they held the kittens that they found and adored.

It was a simple time, with little technology and lots of laughter.  There was always a little pair of running feet, giggles, and lots of love.

I feel like one of those popular bloggers, posting about those "lovely", simple, amazing experiences.  But it's really something that I loved, and that I felt the need to post about.

Hope you enjoyed, beautifuls.  <3

xx,
Carolyn

{{This is a really different post from my normal . . . I felt more like writing than I did "journaling" about my day, I guess you could say.  ;]}}

Cute Little Things

  Hey all!  :D  Sorry I haven't posted too much lately, I've been . . . well, I really haven't  been too busy . . . I don't know.  I just haven't been blogging much at all.  XD  I really do apologize.

  ANYWHO!  ;]  So, the other day, my dad called my brother and I outside.  He'd been working on our landscaping {yes, my dad does our landscaping, not my mom. XD}, so I was expecting him to want to show us some plants or something.  {{That would've been rather boring, might I add.}}  But instead, he showed us this ADORABLE little thing!

  Yep, he showed us a little bunny!  He was hopping around, so shaky because of all the people crouched around him.

  But my goodness, it was so CUTE!  XD  I have a soft spot for little animals.  Well, little things in general, I guess.

  It was hiding under this little cut off tree branch.  Pretty cute, if I do say so myself.  ;]

  I hoped you enjoyed those random pictures!  XD  I don't post too much photography on here, obviously, but I do on Friends Through Photos, which is the photography collab blog I'm in.  I'm week 2- Friday!  :D  So look out for me there.  ;]

  Anyways, let's not let this post be just about baby bunnies.  XD  I'm going to talk about SCHOOL.  {{How boring!  XD}}

  So, as all of y'all that live in the States {well, most of y'all, I guess}, you know that SCHOOL IS ALMOST OUT!  For us, school gets out on Wednesday the 30th, so I have only SIX days of school left!  :D  {{We don't have school on Memorial Day, by the way.}}  Also, one of those days we'll be gone all day on a trip, so that's exciting!  :D

  So, once school is out, then what happens?  Good question.  XD  I usually think I'll blog more, but that doesn't always happen.  Why?  I do better on a schedule.  My life is quite scheduled during the school year.  Mondays are free.  Tuesdays I have dance.  Wednesday I have piano lessons and Church.  Thursday I have dance.  Fridays are free.  Saturday I have dance and sometimes Church.  Sunday I have dance and sometimes Church.  Add homework and practicing French horn in there, and you've got my life!  XD

  But in summer, I can do whatever I really want.  Therefore, I don't manage my time well.  {{And I admit it.  XD}}  This summer, I really want to stay more on track, to get more done.  I really want to read a lot, and write, and practice my instruments.  I will have more to do, though, as I know I'll be in tennis, dance {yep, summer dance classes this year!  YAY!}, and I'll also be babysitting.  :D

  Also, I'll be on vacation for a while. :]  I know I'm going to one place for about a week, and then some other mini-vacations for about three days.  So . . . yeah.  XD

  Well, hope this made sense and wasn't too painfully long.  XD

Love,
Carolyn

Just Because! {{Hunger Games Humor}}

  I have been loving this Tumblog lately.  Indeed I have.  And so I am posting some great things.  XD

  I cracked up at that.  I really did. XD

  I was looking at this blog in class and found this.  And oh my deary, I was laughing.  I even showed Makenna.  XD  And by the way, Josh, you have one HEAVENLY jaw line.  <3  XD

  THAT'S SO CUTE.  XD

  Sorry this post was short and boring.  I'll make another post ASAP!  XD

Love you ALL,
Carolyn

**Pant, Pant**

  You do not know how nice it feels to be sitting down in a pair of shorts and a tee-shirt right now.  Honest, you DON'T KNOW.  Why?  Oh, let me tell you.

The Hobbit.

  Goodness gracious me, today, we had our first two performances for The Hobbit, and I am extremely tuckered out.  {{Man, haven't said THAT in a while!  XD}}  Here's how my day went.

  So, at about eight o' clock, I went to the high school where we would be performing. I was extremely tired from just waking up and throwing myself into my costume, and just . . . well . . . being tired.  XD  And so, I got my make-up on and sat and talked to my friend who had attended the midnight premiere of the Hunger Games movie the night before.

  Then, we waited, playing Headbanz and Spot It until we were instructed to go and greet the third, fourth, and fifth graders as they entered the building.

  Finally, it was time to get ready to go on stage.  So, I went backstage, sitting awkwardly behind Bilbo's house {so I could get in the door} with my fellow dwarves.  We listened to our . . . teacher, I guess . . . give her spiel, and then the play started.

  The play went by rather fast, but the children didn't understand much of the play, and I could tell because they didn't laugh at any of the intended humor.  XD  It was really odd, because the middle schoolers DID, and I was expecting it to be opposite.

  But anyways, after the first performance, we had lunch {PIZZA!} and then had our second performance, which went a lot better than our first!

  So, here I am, after scraping off the ugly stage make-up and taking off my hot costume, I can relax.

  Now, I just have to wait until six when I meet up with my friends and teacher at the theater for Hunger Games!  XD

  And because I hate picture-less posts:

Lots of Love,
Carolyn

Three Goals- ACHIEVED!

  Yep, that's right, I have achieved three goals in 102 Things to do in 2012!  :D  What are those goals, you ask?

19. Dance with someone

  Now, before you go all, "OHMIGOSH, GIRLY!", please settle down and let me tell you the story.  ;)

  So, last night was my first school dance, a Valentine's social.

  Goodness, it was the best night of my life.

  But anyhow, I danced mostly with my friends.  All of us jumping around randomly, screaming songs over the roar of music, shouting, laughter, and excitement.  Then, that first awkward slow dance song comes on.  Of course, my friends find me and Carter's friends find him, pushing us together.  Honestly, we were awkward, and walked off.  XD  So for the first few slow dances, I danced with friends.  XD

  Eventually, Carter found me and asked me to dance.  I was so happy, and we danced for the rest of the slow songs after that.  It was really, really, fun.  :)  {{And that shows you I'm not too young to have a "boyfriend" if we have school dances and slow dances at them.}}

36. Make a list of all the books I read in the year

  Basically all I did was colorfully decorate a piece of paper that says, "2012  What I've Read", then lists the two books I've read this year!  {{Far North was for school, terrible, TERRIBLE, book.  XD  So . . . uninteresting.}}

49. Memorize all my lines for the Hobbit before I have to

  Nothing too special about this, but I have my lines memorized!  :D  YAY!

~~

  So, basically, that is it!  XD  Hope you've had a great day, happy Friday!

Much Love,
Carolyn

I Think I Might be Falling in Like with You

  Happy Valentine's Day to all!  =]  How is everyone's day going?  Mine was pretty fantastic, thank you!  =D

  It was a day full of lots of happiness.  There's been this girl in my class for a long time, and we've never really interacted much.  Now, we're becoming really close, no matter how different we are!  We spent a lot of the day {because in almost EVERY seating arrangement, we sit by each other} talking about our favorite Christian artists and if we knew of her-or-him.  It's fun.  =]  Plus, she gave me a fabulous candy ring, made out of pipe cleaners and a Hershey's Kiss {courtesy of Pinterest, nonetheless!  :D}, which I adore.  <3  Love ya, Abby!

  Okay, before I show you what I got today, I will tell you something.

  I go to a public school where the words "boyfriend and girlfriend" drift around every day.  I'm not the type of girl to get caught up into relationships at young ages, although I did have one of those mindless boyfriends when I was little.  Ever since last January, I have been that same mindless boyfriend's girlfriend.  Now, as we are young and not afraid of staying young, we haven't been on dates and don't say we love each other.  Because, well, we're basically just best friends.  I don't want people to think I'm a crazy-boy-loving-girl.  Because, goodness me, I'm not!  XD

  Continuing {sorry for you having to read that.  It's long and boring! XD} on, this morning as this aforementioned boy got on the bus, I handed him his Valentine's gift, and he handed me mine, and I was very happy.  :)  I opened it to find . . .

You steal this picture, I will be the most sad person ever.  XD

 This beautiful bracelet!  It has little golden hearts linked together, and it was really sweet of him to think of me and give me something like this.  =]  Thank you, Carter, so much, for the gift, and being my Valentine.  ;]

  So, as most people are saying how they don't have a Valentine, I feel a little weird posting this.  But anyways, all my girlies, I love you all, too!  <3

Byesies,
CaRoLyN

By the by, happy Singles Appreciation Day, too!  <3

33?!

Holy.Poop.

I HAVE 33 FOLLOWERS!  :D

  I can not believe this!  Just on MONDAY I was at 28 followers.  By the end of the day, I was at 30, and then the next day later I have 33?!  WOW!  All I can say is wow!

  So, I would go into this huge, somewhat cheesy, but 100% true "I thank the academy" speech, but I think you understand how much this means to me.  Having 49 followers on my old blog when it was deleted was a huge number.  For the longest time I barely had any followers.  I am just so thankful for all of you gals that enjoy my blog and care about me enough to follow.  :)  Love you all!

{Love, love, followers, love, love}

By the by, be expecting a normal post sometime later today, most likely.  ;)

Happiness Hit Her Like a Train on a Track

{{Listening to Florence + the Machine, Dog Days are Over}}

  My happiness post.  :)  'Cause I like being happy and I have a lot to be happy about! XD

Being asked to a dance
Eep.  Yes, I was asked to our Valentine's Dance.  Eep.  By Carter, my . . . boy?  :P  Blogging about him is awkward.  XD  So, here's how it happens.

Scene: On the boys' bus, leaving from school.  I'm sitting by Ally, my FRAN, right after a boy asked me to the dance that I am NOT friends with . . . Awkward moment.

Carter: But seriously, will you go to the dance with me?

Me: Wondering if I hear him right What?

Carter: Seriously, will you go to the dance with me?

Me: Yes!

Ally: smiling

Me: smiling, starts to inform my friends

Carter: Well, I was going to ask sooner or later, and we were already talking about it, so I thought, "Why not?!"

Me: smile still on face~~

And I'm still smiling.(:

Not a Creature was Stirring, not Even a Mouse

  Today is Christmas Eve.  You do NOT know how excited I am right now, for the gathering of family and eating too much tomorrow.  For the looks of glee and surprise on my family's faces as they rip the wrapping paper eagerly off the present.  For the Christmas Eve mass that I will be helping with {alter server, I'm Catholic! :)} this year, and hearing the story of our savior's birth.

  I have really been thinking about how, without Christmas, we wouldn't be here.  Without the day that Christ was born, we wouldn't have walked the Earth, he died to save us all.  As I prayed last night, I just said to God, "Thank you for your son and all that he did and has done for us.  Without him, none of us would be here today.", and it's true.

  I'm not going to lie and say that I'm not excited for the presents, because I definitely am!  I'm wondering if there might be a DSLR, Flip Video Camera, or iPod Touch under the tree when I awake tomorrow morning.  You know, there might not be any of those under the tree when I wake up tomorrow, but that'll be okay.  Even though I want all of those DEARLY, I can definitely live without.  I have a good digital camera and an old iPod Nano, both that still work.

  I wonder if I'll have trouble falling asleep tonight.  Although it hasn't been quite as hard to fall asleep for a couple of years, excitement just dwindles in the back of my mind as I rest my eyes.  It seems I can almost NEVER fall asleep on Christmas Eve, and when I do, it's really early in the morning!  Last year was the first year that my brother woke me up instead of me waking HIM up!  I'm praying for being able to sleep, but oh well if I can't. ;)

  And so, Merry Christmas.  I hope it's amazing for all, and for all that do not celebrate, I hope you have a very nice day.

Of Friendship {{Thanks}}

  You know, I have been posting more often, and I've had this blog since summer, and I would've had my old blog for over a year by now {so I've been a blogger for a year!}, but I've never really told you who my friends were, so . . . how about I do!

  Through my wonderful time on Blogger, Picasa, Google Buzz, Google Plus, and American Girl Fan Message Board, I've met some wonderful people.  Let's start with the first two people I've met.

  One of the first people I met was none other than Quinlyn.  She was on so many of the websites that I had joined, but I first met her on Picasa after reading her blog.  I had also befriended her on the American Girl Fan Message Board.  We became quick friends and are definitely still close!

  I met Jasmine VERY quickly on the American Girl Fan Message Board.  I remember when I first posted, sharing about who I was, and how she was one of the first people to comment.  Although that post was deleted, I remember that she said, "Yay!  More dance buddies!"  We were friends right away, and are even closer now.

  Now, let us talk about some friends that weren't the first, but are extremely close. :)

  One of my best online friends in the whole world is Zaidia, or as I call her, Jeniqua {or Iqua.  XD}.  We write together, we go on TinyChat, we CHAT LIKE CARAZY on Gmail, and we're  just . . . best friends and junk.

  Another one of my best online friends is Britts.  Gosh I love this girl.  We are twins separated at birth, bloggers, Irish dancers, authors, readers, Horrible Histories lovers, Anne Frank fans, and so much more.  We've been super uper close for a really long time.  :)

  Yet another amazing best online buddy is Ellie.  We haven't been friends for as long as I have with most of the girls listed, but we're still super close.  We're authors, Irish dancers, Percy Jackson lovers, and just AWESOME LIKE THAT.  XD  We chat all the time and it feels like I've known her forever.  I tell her a lot.  XD

  How can I forget Iona?  We've been friends for quite some time now, but we became really close over the summer.  We're authors, readers, Percy Jackson lovers, and-again-JUST AWESOME LIKE THAT!

  Here's to a friend not many of you know, Ghillie.  She was/is on the American Girl Fan Message Board, and we've been friends since I joined.  We have so much in common, Irish dancing being the main.  We talk and talk about it!  She and I have been private messaging back and forth since this summer.  She's a very close friend and an amazing girl.  <3

  Lastly, Kellee.  Kelleis such an awesome girl.  :)  She always comments on my blog and her blog is just lovely.  We've been PM'ing on the AGFMB a lot lately and I've really grown close to her.

  So, thank you SO MUCH to all of these friends.  I did not make this post to try to offend anyone, and if you are not listed I hope you are not offended.  I apologize if you are.  But truly, all of you are my friends.  :)

lovelovelove,
Carolyn

Thanks ;)

{{A response to Hannah's post.}}

  Okay, I started writing this yesterday, so . . . yeah. XD  I didn't have a chance to finish because of having relatives over, I was planning to write more.  I apologize. :P

  I woke up this morning to light streaming in from my translucent curtains and smells of turkey, vegetable, and ham wafting through the air.  I quickly reminded myself that it was Thanksgiving.  My relatives were probably on their way to be here right now.  A smile spread across my face.  I gazed at the clock tiredly, seeing 8:50.  I was tired, so I closed my eyes for ten minutes, got out of bed, and began walking towards the kitchen.

  "Good morning!" my mom and dad chorused.

  I smiled.  "Good morning," I repeated groggily.

  "Happy Thanksgiving!" my dad told me.

  "Yes, happy Thanksgiving!" said my mom, capturing me in a hug.

  "Happy Thanksgiving!" I repeated again.

  I then made my descent down the stairs to get ready to type up this very post, the post where I post {man, lots of posts!} things that I am thankful for.  So, here I go!

  1. My family: I don't know where I'd be and what I'd do without them.  I love them SO much and am so grateful to have such a wonderful family. ♥
  2. My friends: The family I get to choose.  ;)  I absolutely love these people.
  3. My house: Not everyone has a nice house, a nice bedroom, nice cars, and nice things overall {such as couches, chairs, desks, computers, etc.}.  I am really blessed.
  4. Food: I am very lucky to be served food whenever I need it or be able to go out and get food to eat.
  5. Dance: I am EXTREMELY blessed that my parents allow me to dance and they pay for it.  I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't dance!  I am also extremely blessed that I get payed for working at dance.
  6. Education: I am very lucky that my parents send me to school and I can get an education and eventually go to a good college.
  7. The internet: It's kind of stupid, but I really LOVE the internet.  I love how I can write, read, draw, and interact with people from all around the world that I can call FRIENDS.
  8. This blog: Gosh, you don't know how much this means to me.  After my blogs were deleted, I didn't know if I would ever earn back my followers or my views, but I'm getting there.  I know I have the same amount {if not more} of followers that I had around this time of year last year.  :)
  9. American Girl: American Girl is so amazing.  It's a creative outlet and a great way to meet new friends, through the internet AND in real life!  I am so grateful to have my four gorgeous dollies.  ;)
  10. The American Girl Fan Message Board: Through this amazing, wonderful, spectacular, message board, I have met amazing girls, learned to love my dolls EVEN more, fall more in love with dance than already, and even get closer to God.  The American Girl community is so warm and welcoming, I am very happy to be a part of it!
  11. NaNoWriMo: Man, NaNoWriMo is SERIOUSLY one of the best things I have ever done.  I wrote like a maniac, and accomplished my goal of 9,000 words, then went on to do over 2,000 more words!  :D  Through the forums I have met lovely people that I really have enjoyed getting to know.
  12. Music: The world would be rather dismal and depressing without music.  I listen to music when I write, when I do homework, when I'm bored, when I dance, and even more!  It's a way to bond with family in the car, those hours of driving to and from dance with my mom, singing together.
  13. Instruments: I'm very lucky my parents let me play the French horn and piano.  They are a large part of my life and I enjoy them both immensely.  :)
  14. Books: Man, what would I do without books?  I love to read them, AND write them!
  15. Pointe shoes: Go ahead and call me crazy, but I absolutely ADORE pointe shoes.  There's just something about them that makes you feel beautiful and elegant.
  16. Ghillies: My Irish dance shoes are too special not to include on here!
  17. Tap shoes: Loud, clear, sounds coming out of these normal-looking shoes . . . so beautiful.  :)
  18. My classes: The dance classes I teach . . . oh, I love these little girls!
  19. My room: I love my room.  It's bursting with inspiration and color.
  20. My desk: I just rearranged it yesterday and cleaned it and such, and I'm really happy with how it turned out!
  21. Snow globes: If you didn't already know, I collect snow globes.  :)
  22. Clothes: I love the clothes I have, and feel really lucky to have them.  Not everyone is so lucky.
  23. My teachers: My teachers this year are pretty great.  I really enjoy them and my classes!
  24. Hot chocolate: This time of year, I love to sit around and sip hot cocoa.
  25. Cameras: Whenever I see a DSLR, I clutch my mom's arm and say, "LOOK AT THAT PRETTY CAMERA!"  Hehe, hint hint.  ;)
  26. Holidays: Holidays are so much fun, being with family, huge meals, and giving thanks.
  What are you thankful for?

Dance

  As I wrote my post about what I want to be when I grow up, I was thinking that I'm not so sure about a dance teacher anymore because my mom wasn't sure if I was going to be one for a moment, but then I thought to myself as I stand up from my spot on the computer, tights, leotard, and spandex shorts still on from my dance class that ended over an hour ago.  I danced to the other room, and then danced back.

  I thought to myself, "Why was I doubting that I wanted to do something with dance when I grew up?  I know this is what I'm going to do one day.  I get so much joy when I dance."

Via

  My dance teacher looks at me as I get ready for my first day at one of her other studios {She has two, one in my town, another in a different town.  I go there for pointe.} and she says, looking back and forth between my mom, "She's going to do something some day, isn't she?"

  My mom smiled.  "For sure."

  "I'm sure I want to do something with dance when I'm an adult," I told her.

Via
  Ever since I was young I've looked at people in pointe shoes and thought, "That is so gorgeous."  I've always wanted to dance.

  Dancing since you were three means dedication, aches, being sore, blisters, itchy tights, and ounces of hairspray and makeup.  It's hard sometimes.  Sometimes it takes me a long time to understand something, but the thing is

it's worth it.

{{I apologize for two posts in a day!}}

When I Grow Up

{{A response to Hannah's post.}}

  When I was little at my preschool graduation, one of my teachers stuck a microphone in front of my mouth and asked me the question, "Carolyn, what do you want to be when you grow up?"

  I graciously took the microphone out of her hands and loudly proclaimed, "I wanna be a mermaid!"

  I heard the adult's quiet laughter in the room, but I just smiled as the clapping echoed through the church {the school was basically part of a church} and walked towards the stage where the rest of my classmates were standing.  None of them found it odd, rather normal, actually.  Still, everyone else said pretty stereotypical children's occupations, a ballerina, a police, a fire fighter, a teacher, but a mermaid was my dream.

 A few years later, new town, new school, my last year of preschool.  I wanted to be a veterinarian.  Little did I know that I had to do a lot of things with animals that I wouldn't be able to stand.  That dream faded away quickly.

  In kindergarten, my friend and I planned on growing up and doing all the same things.  We had who we were going to marry planned out, our kids' names, and our jobs.  We'd live in the same town and do the exact same thing.  When my dream job changed, hers did, too.

  Our first dream job was going to Iraq to serve in the military.  Not exactly a normal kindergarten girl's biggest wish, right?  Well, her dad was in the war at the time, so we wanted to be like him.

  Next we wanted to work at Shamu.  Our other friend had this dream, so we decided to copy her.  Again, DEFINITELY not a normal dream.

  Finally, we decided to choose our own jobs.  She wanted to be a ballerina and I decided to be a teacher, and let me tell you, I wanted to be a teacher for a long time, on and off whenever I started enjoying something else.

  In second grade my friend and I wanted to be masseuses together.  You know, the people who gave massages?  Yeah, that was our career choice up until third grade.  It quickly went back to a teacher, though, for quite a long while.

  Finally, just last year, my ideas started changing immensely.  I wanted to do something with dance.  Something with dance really bad!  So I decided I wanted to be a professional dancer.

  Later I decided I might not want to spend so much time away while being a professional dancer, so I changed my ideas to a dance teacher.  The thought had always been in my mind, but I was thinking there must be something cooler out there.

  I personally want to still be a dance teacher, but I'm not sure if that's what will happen.  For sure I want to be an author.  When I write, I can express myself so well, and it's not something I really have to think about.  The words flow from my pencil on to the white paper, or from my fingers on to the blank screen.  This is the reason I love blogging so much.

  Just lately I haven't been so sure what my job will be, probably because my mom and I were talking about what we think my job will be, and she wasn't so sure.  It made me less certain of what I wanted to be, but I don't need to worry about it quite yet, I have time, and God at my side.

PARTY ALL WEEKEND

{{Sorry, had to say that.  An extremely annoying boy in my grade was SHOUTING that the whole ten minute drive from school to my bus stop.  I JUST HAD TO SAY IT!  XD}}

Yesterday and today were SO fun!  Here's what happened:

  Well, I've been at a birthday party.  It started last night, and when we go there we just hung out, acted weird, and did random junk until we ate supper {AMAZING SLOPPY JOES!}.  Then we went to Happy Feet Two at our movie theater.  There was a LONG line for the Twilight movie.  XD  We waited outside for probably half an hour!  Then we FINALLY got in and I got Milk Duds and . . . that was good.  XD  Our principal was there and told us that she thought it was cool that we weren't at Twilight!  XD  So we saw the movie and it was SO cute!  All of us laughed at stupid parts and parts that the little kids didn't understand.  OH HUMOR THAT CHILDREN DON'T GET.  One of my friends {let's call her J} seriously started crying.

  When we got home we watched Rango until it started freezing up, and then only three of us were still awake, Sam {the girl who was having the party!} and Day {let's call her}.  We stayed up till 2:30 in the morning,  and then I GOT UP AT 7:30 IN THE MORNING!  :D  Why?  Well, my friends {who had gotten a good sleep} were up, talking.  Plus I had to go to dance at 8:30.  YES, I went to dance from 8:30 in the morning until 11:15 because the teacher wasn't there, so I had to teach her the dances.  XD  {{This was mostly the teaching.}}  For Irish {dance} Sam came {because she's in it with me} and all the rest of the girls watched us.  :)  AWESOMESAUCE.

  When we got home we ate lunch {TACOS!} and got dressed and ready, then we got in the car to go ICE SKATING!  This was SO much fun!  We were skating for probably . . . three hours?  It was SO much fun!  I've never done it before, but I wasn't too bad.  I fell millions of times, so I'm sore, bruised, and have blisters, but let me tell you, it was SO worth it.  :)

  This was probably the best birthday party I've EVER been to!  ♥

Etc. {Because I'm Brain-Farting Today}

3:30- Get in car and go to brother's honor band, watch Soul Surfer on the way

9:00{ish}- Get home after going to the concert, going out to eat, and driving home.

  Yawn.  No time to NaNo today, but that's fine.  I've been watching My Little Pony.  XD

  Okay, so you're probably like, "What the heck?!  Is Carolyn really only seven?"  No, I will give you that I am older than 10, 'kay?  Anyways, I've been watching this really cute, awesome TV series called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic {here is a link to the first episode} on YouTube because Sara told me to watch it.

Best.Kid.Show.Ever.

  No jokes, yo!  I'm only on episode three or so, but-like I said^-I've been busy!  But, in honor of the six main characters, I made this picture of the ponies:

**PLEASE DO NOT STEAL WITHOUT PERMISSION!**

  None of these photos belong to me, all of them were found on Google Images.  :)

  Since I'm not sure if y'all are bronies like me {a brony is a fan of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic}, I won't drone on and on about my favorite characters and junk.  XD  But if you can't read their names, it's {Top first, bottom second} Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, and Rarity.  :)

  Well, that was a random post!  XD  Hope you enjoyed!

N♥vember

It's finally November.

  You do NOT know how long I've been waiting for this month.  Why, you ask?  Well, here are my reasons:

♥ It's actual fall weather!
♥ NaNoWriMo!
♥ My birthday
♥ My mom's birthday
♥ Mall of America//Birthday party
♥ First snow

~Actual Fall Weather~

  It's definitely fall.  :)  The leaves are beautiful, resting on the ground.  Their firey reds, oranges, and yellow vivid and fresh.  It's been raining.  A lot.  Especially today!  I've been at home today because I was sick.  I have been feeling outstandingly better the rest of the day, which is fabulous.  ;)  But it's been raining all day, and it even . . . I'll save that part for later.  XD

~NaNoWriMo~

  What in the world is NaNoWriMo, you ask?  National Novel Writing Month.  What do you do?  Well, write a novel, of course!  There's just one catch, you have to write the novel in a month!  I am in the Young Writers Program or YWP.  In this program you get to set your word count goal {how many words you want to type}.  In the NORMAL NaNoWriMo program {for adults} you are set 50,000 words.  My word count goal is 9,000 words, but I'll hopefully get to 10,000!  :D

  What is my novel about?  Well, that's hard to explain.  If you really want to know, COMMENT and I will give you the link to my story.  :)

~My Birthday and my Mom's Birthday~

  Go November birthdays!  :D  Yeah, my birthday is the seventeenth, but my mom might not want me to tell you hers . . . so, just don't ask.  XD  I'll be turning 1{other number}!  :)  YAY.  XD

~Mall of America~

  Yep, I'm going to Mall of America!  Some people know when {if you do, PLEASE do not say}, but I'm not going to share that here.  c(:  Anywho, I'm getting a doll and two outfits!  :D  I'm SUPER excited!  I'm also going with Sara {my best friend in real life}, so we'll have a BLAST together!  Look forward to photos and videos from the American Girl Place on my Picasa, here, and my dolls' blog!

~First Snow~

  That was today.  :)  Nothing crazy, there's so much rain that it was just a few flurries, but it's still snow!

~

  November is a happy month.
